Answering the Call to Help Refugees

How would you like to wake up one day, and discover a letter on your doorstep threatening to kill you if you don’t leave the place your people have called home for thousands of years? How would you feel about having your business, home, or church bombed? What if your sister was kidnapped, raped, forced into marriage or murdered, all for being Christian? What if you were a part of this modern-day genocide?

There are many ways to help, and 100% of your donations go directly to a family in dire need of help, and hope. There are many ways to help our cause

Who We Help

The turmoil in Iraq & surrounding areas has taken a toll on more than 50,000 families, which are comprised of mostly Christians, including Assyrians, Chaldeans, Syriacs, Armenians, and other ancient and historic cultures dating back thousands of years. These refugees are being singled out, persecuted, kidnapped, raped, and even murdered because of their religious beliefs. They have nowhere to call home, and are forbidden to work, forcing young women into prostitution starting as young as 9 years old.

Reduced to the status of “refugee”, these displaced persons are prohibited from working, going to school, worshipping… and are prevented from living their normal lives. Not only have they lost their homes, their jobs, and their livelihoods, but their food, water and other basic necessities have become exceedingly scarce. Entire families, children, infants, grandmothers… are homeless, hungry and desperate.

The Adopt-a-Refugee Family program has been successfully working with the Jesuits to aid these refugees for years.

Our Leadership Committee

All Adopt-A-Refugee Family Committee members and volunteers work on a purely voluntary basis. None of them are paid for any of the work they do for the Adopt-A-Refugee charity. All Administrative and overhead costs associated with this effort have been paid for by an anonymous donor from the Chaldean community.
